New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU raised over $100,000 money for victims of the recent flooding in the area.
“We are a city that knows how devastating it can be to lose everything in a flood,” said WDSU president and GM Joel Vilmenay. “Coming together to help our neighbors is exactly what we do in Southeast Louisiana. WDSU is proud to be the vehicle to help connect our community with those in need.”
The station partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank for the Neighbors Helping Neighbors telethon that aired Wednesday. WDSU says everything they collect will go for food, water, and cleaning supplies for those affected.
