NECN Overhauls Anchor Line Up, Launches Investigative and Consumer Units

By Kevin Eck

Regional Cable News Network NECN is changing up its anchor line up while launching new investigative and consumer units.

The big change is moving evening anchor Latoyia Edwards to mornings. Starting Monday, she’ll join co-anchor Brian Shactman and chief meteorologist Matt Noyes weekdays from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m.

“Our new morning team is the next step in the evolution of necn and is just the beginning of our new focus,” said Kenny Plotnik, VP of news at NECN. “The team of Latoyia, Brian and Matt will bring a new energy to mornings with a focus on breaking news, weather and original content.”
