KPDX, the Meredith owned MyNetworkTV affiliate in Portland, Ore. is going to be a Fox Plus station.

Starting February 12, the station will expand the KPTV brand to Fox 12 Plus. KPTV is the main Fox affiliate in the market which is also owned by Meredith.

Fox 12 Plus will add new local news content by expanding its weeknight 8p.m. and 9p.m. newscasts to air seven days a week.

“This really gives us the ability to leverage the power of the number one brand in the market, FOX12, and expand it to a long-standing station in this community,” said Adrienne Roark, the stations’ general manager.

Talent from KPTV will handle weather hits through the newscasts. Viewers will also see clips from Good Day Oregon and other segments from its sister station on KPDX as Fox 12 Plus.
