Morgan Fogarty Leaving WCCB For ‘National TV News Opportunity’

Morgan Fogarty, anchor for Charlotte FOX affiliate WCCB is leaving the station for a “national TV News opportunity.

The station announced the move on its facebook page saying, “We are so thankful for the amazing 8 years she has worked for our station. She will definitely be missed but we are proud of her and wish her nothing but continued success. Morgan will continue to serve as our news anchor through July.”

Fogarty started at WCCB in Februarty 2005 as a morning anchor. In 2011, she was named 10:00 p.m. anchor along with Israel Balderas who left the station last month. Before coming to WCCVB, On her facebook page, she told viewers she couldn’t comment on where she was going yet.

WCCB is set to lose its FOX affiliation and become a CW affiliate on July 1.
