KXLH political reporter Sanjay Talwani is recovering after being hit by an SUV Thursday.
“I’m a wreck. I can barely move,” Talwani told the Independent Record. “Apparently I have no broken bones, but my back, knees and shoulders are really hammered.”
Vicki Taborsky was driving the SUV westbound on Sixth Avenue at 4:45 p.m. Thursday and hit 47-year-old Talwani while he was walking north in the crosswalk along Montana Avenue, Talwani said during an interview Friday. Police cited the driver Friday for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian, Lt. Torey Keltner of the Helena Police Department said in an email.
Advertisement“I lost consciousness,” Talwani said. “I then remember people putting a cervical collar on my neck and I was being taken into an ambulance. I only dimly remember the ambulance trip.”
