Minneapolis MyNet Drops Local Show for Syndicated

By Kevin Eck

The Minneapolis Fox-owned MyNet station WFTC has canceled its 11 p.m. pop culture show On the Fly and is replacing it with one of its own syndicated shows, Hollywood Today Live.

Station vp and gm Sheila Oliver told staff today that after a two and half year run, last night’s show was the last. Host Tony Fly is no longer with the station. His co-host Kelsey Soby left in June. Producer Doug Erlien is also out.

We’re told viewers will see a best of On the Fly this week. Hollywood Today Live starts Monday.
