After leaving WACH, Woolfolk started a media relations business. TVSpy reported about Woolfolk after he criticized his old station for hiring a beauty queen with no formal journalism experience. “I was astounded when I first heard of this move by WACH-TV, my former employer, and I remain astounded to this day,” Woolfolk wrote on his blog at the time.

Woolfolk is a Detroit native. He responded to a report about his new job in the South Carolina paper The State by writing, “I never would have expected The State to post my tweets! But, thanks for updating your readers on where I have landed. I have received many messages of congratulations from great people in Columbia. I am humbled by the love and support. I miss Columbia but, it’s good to be home!”
