Mike Dunston Set to Join WEWS Morning Newscast

Five months after dismantling the morning newscast, Cleveland ABC-affiliate WEWS has placed the finishing touches on a new team. The station today named Mike Dunston the newscast’s co-anchor.

Dunston will anchor with Macie McInnis Jepson, who was hired last month. The pair will be joined by meteorologist Christine Ferreira, traffic reporter Alicia Roberts and multimedia journalist Josh Boose on the newscast, which will debut January 9.

Dunston joins WEWS after four years at WOFL in Orlando, where he is part of a team that anchors more than 5 hours of morning news a day.

“I’m excited to work for a station that is on the cutting edge of journalism – and the ever-changing ways people get updated on news and information,” Dunston said in a statement. WEWS delivers news across several platforms, including online and on smart phones and tablets.
