Miami area stations are being credited with helping find an 11-year-old boy who ran away from home Tuesday.
Angel Gort didn’t run away, so much, as we went up, to the roof of his Hialeah home where the TV choppers spotted him after police had been searching for several hours.
WPLG’s Sky10, WSVN’s 7SkyForce and WTVJ’s Chopper 6 spotted the boy on his roof. He said he went up there because he didn’t want to go to summer camp.

“Did you see the chopper?” asked CBS4 reporter Ted Scouten during his report. “Yes,” Gort said.
