Chief meteorologist Matt Meister is signing off from KRDO to become the director of communications for Falcon School District 49 in Colorado Springs.
“All of us at KRDO NewsChannel 13 are proud of Matt’s career growth since he began working here,” KRDO general manager Tim Larson said in a statement. “We wish him well in this career change that affords Matt a more traditional schedule and allows him to spend more time with his family.”
Meister has worked at the Colorado Springs ABC affiliate for 12 years. He will officially sign off in May.
“I wish this station and my colleagues continued success and I know they will perform to the highest level as they did during the recent fires and floods,” Meister said in a statement. “I will cherish the friendships that I made and the time I spent here.”
