Meteorologist Katy Morgan Leaving WXIX

By Merrill Knox

Katy Morgan is leaving Cincinnati Fox affiliate WXIX for a chief meteorologist job in a larger market, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Morgan joined WXIX in 2010 as the weekend morning meteorologist. She will sign off from the station when her contract expires on December 31. “We certainly don’t blame her for taking his opportunity, because we have a chief (Steve Horstmeyer) and we are very happy with him,” general manager Bill Lanesey told the Enquirer.

Before WXIX, Morgan worked at WMBF in Myrtle Beach and KSNT in Topeka, Kansas.
