Meteorologist Brad Carl Joins KHBS-KHOG

Meteorologist Brad Carl is joining KHBS-KHOG, Hearst Television’s ABC and CW affiliates in Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark.

Carl will be the station’s weekend morning meteorologist and weekday morning reporter. He comes from KULR in Billings, Mont., where he has worked since 2011.

“Brad’s addition creates the largest team of meteorologists in our viewing area and enhances our commitment to provide the most comprehensive weather coverage around the clock,” KHBS-KHOG news director Greg Shepperd said in a statement.

FAYETTEVILLE/FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS, September 19, 2013 – Brad Carl has been named weekend morning meteorologist and weekday morning reporter at KHBS/KHOG-TV, the Hearst Television Inc. ABC affiliate serving the Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Arkansas television market. With Carl’s addition, 40/29 News will be the only local television station in the market with four meteorologists.

Carl joins 40/29 News from KULR in Billings, Montana where he’s been part of the forecasting and reporting team since his graduation from the University of Washington in 2011.

The 40/29 Weather Team:

  • Chief Meteorologist Drew Michaels is a ten year veteran of the Fayetteville- Fort Smith market.
  • Weekday Morning Meteorologist Laura Huckabee has over 20 years of forecasting experience.
  • Weekend Evening Meteorologist Darby Bybee is a five year storm tracking veteran.
  • Starting the week of September 23rd, Brad Carl joins Bybee on the weekend as morning meteorologist with additional forecasting and reporting responsibilities during the week.
