Married Political Reporters Share Spotlight in Iowa

Politics play a big role in the relationship between Dave and Emily Price.  In fact, the couple even received Honeymoon advice from Barack and Michelle Obama when they were married in 2007.

Now Dave, an anchor and esteemed political expert with Des Moines NBC-affiliate WHO, and Emily, an up-and-coming political reporter at CBS-affiliate KCCI, are sharing the media spotlight as they cover the hotly contested Iowa caucuses.

The hard-working pair was recently profiled by The Washington Post, which detailed their status as political oracles in Iowa:

Both Prices are crucial to their respective stations’ political coverage. He’s a big deal at the state’s No. 2 station; she’s a rising star at a station that’s rated narrowly ahead of his.

The WaPo piece also highlighted their cooperation amid market competition.  When Emily recently booked an interview with Newt Gingrich, she handed the phone to Dave so he could book his own interview while Gingrich’s publicist was on the line.
