WDAF reporter Kathy Quinn was interviewing a couple named James and Edith who had just escaped a house fire that left their roommate with burns to his face, killed his dog and left all three people homeless when James decided it was as good a time as any to give the Kansas City FOX affiliate some on-air love.
“God bless! I love Channel Four,” said James while wrapping up the interview at around 1:43 in the video above. “Channel Four!”
Comedian Chris Franjola, who was in the studio for an interview of his own, told anchor Kim Byrnes, “You’ve had some amazing characters on the show today. “House fire guy” was my favorite. His house just burned down but he wanted to get in his plug how he loves Channel Four news.”
“We’re going to send him a coffee mug.” said Byrnes.
“A coffee mug that he can’t use because his house burned down,” said Franjola. Check out the video after the jump.
