Man Angry About Carriage Dispute Threatens to Blow Up KMVU Building

Police say a Medford, OR, man upset because he couldn’t watch local Fox affiliate KMVU on his DISH Network system threatened to blow up KMVU’s building and named an employee he said he’d shoot.

Medford Police along with Oregon State Police arrested Jeffrey Alan Sebastian of Williams, OR at his home without incident.  He faces three charges of attempted coercion and three charges of harassment for leaving three separate threatening voice mails with the station.

KMVU is currently in a carriage dispute with DISH Network over carriage fees.  The station posted an explanation of the issue on its website saying in part,

DISH Network and Northwest Broadcasting, the parent company of FOX 26 have discontinued their business relationship as of 5 PM EST Monday, November 26, 2012.

Sebastian remains in the Jackson County Jail on $28,000 bail.
