By Merrill Knox

Lucy Noland has been named the 6 p.m. anchor at KNBC, the NBC O&O in Los Angeles. Noland takes over beginning tonight for Ana Garcia, who will become a full-time investigative reporter for KNBC.

Noland has anchored at stations in several different markets. “Lucy is a vibrant anchor with a terrific on-air presence,” KNBC vice president and news director Vickie Burns said in a statement. “She is a skilled journalist who will continuously engage viewers and deliver stories that matter.”

Noland joined KNBC earlier this month after four years at Houston’s KHOU, where she co-anchored the 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts. She has also been an anchor at WNYW in New York, WJBK in Detroit and KJEO in Fresno.
