Former Lubbock, Texas, reporter Patricia Villacin has been indicted by a grand jury on a charge of failure to stop and render aid with serious bodily injury.

Villacin, who worked at NBC affiliate KCBD, is accused of leaving the scene after allegedly hitting a pedestrian in a station-owned vehicle.

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal says the victim suffered a broken ankle.

She allegedly told police she pulled into a parking lot after the incident, saw other people tending to the victim and believed she was free to leave.
