Louisville’s WLKY Dumps Anchor After DUI

WLKY morning and noon news anchor John Boel is no longer employed at the station.

Glenn Haygood, WLKY president and general manager, confirmed that Boel, who was charged with DUI last Saturday, at the present time is no longer an employee of WLKY, which is owned by Hearst Television Inc.

Haygood declined public or further comment on specifics, explaining that he doesn’t make any public statements about private personnel matters outside the company. More…
