WISH has announced Lori Wilson will join the Indianapolis CBS affiliate in mid-June as an anchor and reporter.

“Lori has built a solid career filled with many examples of quality journalism both reporting out on the street and behind the anchor desk,” said WISH news director Steve Bray. “We are thrilled to welcome her home to Central Indiana and to our 24-Hour News 8 team.”

In addition to anchoring the 5:00 p.m. news, Wilson will also report live during the station’s 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. news.

“After almost 16 years covering news in other cities, I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to work in my hometown, for the station I grew up watching,” said Wilson. “I’m thrilled to join WISH-TV, with its rich tradition of excellence in covering breaking news, telling great stories, and truly being connected to the people of Central Indiana.”

Wilson comes to WISH from WCAU in Philadelphia. She’s also worked for WGCL in Atlanta, KSLA in Shreveport, LA, and WCIA in Champaign, IL.  She was also a network fill-in for MSNBC.
