Lori Stokes Leaving WABC

Lori Stokes, the longtime morning co-anchor for WABC, is leaving the flagship ABC station.

Her co-anchor Ken Rosato announced the news this morning, playing a clip reel of her more than 17 years at the station. Stokes then appeared on air to say goodbye:

“When I walked into this building in April of 2000, I knew the legacy, the integrity, the news judgment, the history and the expectations of working for Eyewitness News,” Stokes said.

“I want to end this on a super high note,” she continued, “Let’s just say I’m shifting gears. Thanks for going on this incredible ride with me, and I know we’ll see each other again.”

Stokes joined WABC from MSNBC where she was one of the original anchors. Her TV news career began at WCIA, before stops at WBTV, WBFF and WJLA.
