Lorey Schultz Leaving Buffalo’s WIVB After 17 Years

Lorey Schultz, a veteran reporter who has been at Buffalo CBS-affiliate WIVB for 17 years, will leave the station next month to work in the office of Buffalo mayor Byron Brown.

“It was time for a change,” Schultz told Buffalo media reporter Alan Pergament. “I’ve been here a long time. I had a great run at Channel 4. I love the people there and have beautiful memories of the stories I covered and the people I met. It’s time to back away and take on a new challenge.”

Schultz started her career in radio, hosting at stations in Buffalo and Springfield, MA before joining WIVB in 1994. “I’ve been reporting all over Western New York,” she said. “I’m from Western New York. What a great opportunity to represent the community in this capacity.”
