Longtime KTRK reporter Cynthia Cisneros has been named vice president of community affairs at the Houston ABC-affiliate.
“I’m so excited and proud to be what I hope will be a bigger part of our community,” Cisneros wrote on her Facebook wall today, announcing that she had accepted the “coveted position.”
A Houston native, Cisneros joined KTRK as a general assignment reporter in 1989. She replaces Denise Bates, who left the station in October.
