Greg Hurst, who has anchored at Houston CBS affiliate KHOU for 18 years, is leaving the station.

“It is with mixed feelings that I share with you that Greg Hurst is leaving KHOU 11,” wrote GM Susan McEldoon in a note announcing the move. “During his 18 years at KHOU, Greg has consistently delivered a high level of professionalism, preparation and passion to his anchoring duties.”

His last day at the TEGNA-owned station is Friday. He started working there in 1999 after working at WABC in New York. He started his career at KATV in Little Rock, Ark. in 1981 and has also worked at KFMB in San Diego, Calif.

“He is excited about starting this next chapter of his life and we want to wish him the very best with his next endeavor,” said McEldoon.
