The little girl who danced into the background of Mary Ann Ahern’s WMAQ live shot says she just wanted to be on television.
“I wanted to be on TV ’cause I’ve never been on TV,” Janiyah Rush told DNA Info this week. The viral video star said she hopes to be a singer, dancer and doctor when she grows up, noting her dancing is inspired by her family and the song “Single Ladies.”

“Diana Ross had the Supremes, Gladys Knight had the Pips, I’ve got my own backup dancer!” Ahern tweeted after video of the June report (watch above) went viral.
