WGN has named Aline Cox WGN Morning News executive producer, replacing Sandy Pudar, who was named assistant news director. Cox will oversee the entire six hours of the newscast.
Jennifer Lyons, WGN news director said Cox “has terrific news judgment and is ready to lead as the next EP of WGN Morning News.”
Mike Wilder replaces Cox as executive producer of the show from 4:00 to 6:00 am.

Cox has worked at WGN for 11 years. Before coming to WGN, she worked at CLTV, and also WMTV and WKOW in Madison, Wisc. Wilder has worked at WGN for 10 years. He’s also worked at WFLD and in Indianapolis, Grand Rapids and Springfield, Mo.
