Tampa Bay ABC affiliate WFTS has named Laura Harris co-anchor the station’s 5:30 p.m. newscast. She’ll join Brendan McLaughlin.
Harris will continue to host The Now Tampa Bay, which she has hosted since it launched in September 2014.
“Laura is one of those exceptional journalists who know how to tell great stories people can relate to,” said WFTS news director Matt Brown. “We’re happy to have our 5:30 newscast in the hands of such an experienced anchor who has earned so much respect around the Bay area and inside our own newsroom.”
