Larry Mendte Returns to New York Airwaves, This Time on Radio

2006Larry1-251x300Larry Mendte, who was last seen doing commentary on New York CW affiliate WPIX, has a new show on WABC radio.

“The Larry Mendte Show” will run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday nights starting this weekend.

The press release promises Mendte will “talk about New York’s biggest stories, and speak to Tri – State listeners with warmth, wit, and honesty that New York listeners have come to expect from Mendte and 77 WABC.”

WABC program director Craig Schwalb said in a statement,“The addition of Larry Mendte to our roster of trusted New York personalities makes Sunday nights on 77 WABC an appealing and exciting destination for our listeners.”

In 2008, Mendte was fired from KYW in Philadelphia after pleading guilty to hacking into co-anchor Alycia Lane’s email account.
