KXAS‘ Jeff Smith got stuck in the mud this weekend while he was reporting on low lake levels for the NBC-owned station in Dallas.
Smith was eventually rescued by his photographer, Kevin Williams, but not before he did a live report from the knee-deep mud. “I knew that the mud was deep, I had mud boots on,” Smith said afterwards. “I knew it was probably pretty thick, but I had no idea it was that deep and that thick. I got stuck the moment I jumped off.” Watch:
