Austin360 is reporting Austin NBC affiliate KXAN is moving its meteorologists around.
Meteorologist Mark Monstrola has swapped time slots with meteorologist David Yeomans. Yeomans has moved to weekday mornings while Monstrola has started working started weekend nights.
The two will share duties weekdays at noon, with Yeomans delivering forecasts Monday and Tuesday and Monstrola handling midday weather Wednesday through Friday.
AdvertisementAs part of the switches, Monstrola will become the primary fill-in for longtime chief weathercaster Jim Spencer.
The station has also hired a fourth meteorologist, Rosie Newberry, to fill the spot vacated in July by Natalie Stoll,who took a communications job with the Lower Colorado River Authority.
Newberry will deliver the weather on KXAN’s weekend morning newscasts. She arrives in Austin after working for a station in Columbia, Mo.
