Following a shooting outside the KTRK studios this morning, the ABC-owned station in Houston has issued a statement thanking law enforcement and a witness.
“We want to thank Jeff Tobin, the alert eyewitness who heroically took photos while shots were still being fired, which helped police quickly apprehend the suspect,” the station said in a statement provided to TVSpy. “We are grateful to Houston Police Department for their fast response, that no one was injured and the ABC-13 staff is safe and sound.”
A female suspect is in custody in connection to the shooting, which left bullet holes in cars parked outside KTRK. In a story posted online, KTRK said the car the suspect was arrested in appears to be similar to one caught on surveillance video of a shooting outside the station last month.
