Kerri Cronk, an anchor at KSTU in Salt Lake City, is recovering from serious injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend.
Cronk, who anchors the morning show at the Fox affiliate, was riding her bike around 6 p.m. Friday evening when a white car pulled out of a parking lot and into her path. Cronk said she had only seconds to react before her bike collided with the vehicle — which then sped away. “I vividly remember the back of that car, and smashing into the back of that car. That’s my last memory,” Cronk told the station in an interview (video above).
Cronk was found by Bill Hubbard, a resident who saw her on the side of the road and called 911. She is recovering from a slew of serious injuries, including a broken neck, a dislocated shoulder, a concussion and various cuts and bruises. Cronk was wearing a helmet — which she says likely saved her life.
