Earlier this month, KSTU anchor Kerri Cronk was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Salt Lake City that left her with a broken neck. The driver of the vehicle that hit her while she rode her bike has still not been found — and now the station is pleading for information from viewers (watch the video, above).
“It’s very hard, I have to admit,” Cronk, who is moving along with her physical recovery, said in a recent interview. “Anger is a harsh word. I still have anger, I would like some closure.”
The station is running reports like this one, asking for specific information from people who were in the area of the Hogel Zoo around the scene of the accident. They are publicizing ways to reach the Salt Lake City police, as well as sharing the story on Facebook and Twitter.
“What they really need is the public’s help,” Sandy Reisgraf said in her report, filed from the scene of the accident. “If you saw anything, if you know anything about this accident, even if you think it’s insignificant, police want to hear from you.”
