Las Vegas NBC affiliate KSNV is adding an hour of news at 3:00 p.m.
Jeff Gillan will begin anchoring the new newscast starting Monday.
The added hour of news shifts syndicated shows “The Doctors” and “Dr. Phil” one hour earlier. “The Doctors” will begin airing at 1:00 p.m. and “Dr. Phil” will air at 2:00 p.m. KSNV general manager Lisa Howfield told TVNewsCheck, “We have not forgotten the fans of “Days of Our Lives.” We have made arrangements with NBC and Sinclair Broadcast Group to broadcast “Days of our Lives” at its normal time 1 p.m. each day” on Sinclair’s CW affiliate KVCW.

In June, KSNV announced it was adding a 7:00 p.m. newscast.
