KSL Picks Dave McCann to Succeed Bruce Lindsay as Lead Anchor

By Andrew Gauthier

Dave McCann, a veteran anchor who currently serves as the play-by-play voice for Brigham Young University football and basketball, has been chosen to succeed Bruce Lindsay as KSL‘s lead male anchor.

Lindsay announced his plans to retire in January, after more than three decades with the Salt Lake City NBC-affiliate.

A Utah native, McCann has spent 19 years working as an anchor for KLAS in Las Vegas.

“I think this is the best job in all of television,” McCann said. “You couldn’t ask for a better scenario. I will officially be living the dream.”

McCann is set to join KSL’s 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts beginning in May, working alongside Nadine Wimmer.

He will continue his BYU play-by-play duties while working for KSL.
