KREM to Make Anchor Changes in March

Spokane, Wash., CBS affiliate KREM has announced anchor changes for March.

Brittany Bailey is joining the station as a morning news co-anchor. She’ll work alongside Jen York.

Bailey comes from KRDO in Colorado Springs and has also worked at WKYT in Lexington, Ky., KSDK in St. Louis, Mo., WMAZ in Macon, Ga., and WBIR in Knoxville, Tenn.

The station is also changing its weekend anchor look by moving Briana Bermensolo from weather and news anchor to weekday morning and noon weather anchor. She replaces Katie Boer who is leaving the station for “other opportunities.”

Bermensolo’s co-anchor Whitney Ward will co-anchor the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts on Monday and Tuesday nights. She’ll work with Mark Hanrahan and Tom Sherry and will be an investigative reporter the rest of the week.

Sten Walstrom will replace Ward on weekends.

The station also announced Laura Papetti will expand her role as community marketing director. She’ll have an on-air role showcasing KREM’s community involvement.
