KOTV meteorologist Dick Faurot has announced he will retire from the Tulsa CBS affiliate next summer.

Faurot joined KOTV in 1993, after working as a chief meteorologist in Lafayette, Louisiana for 18 years. “In Aug of 1975, I started my career as a broadcast meteorologist and have loved every minute of it,” Faurot said on his Facebook page Tuesday. “After 41+ fun years, I’ve decided to retire at the end of June 2017. I’m still in good health and am looking forward to what’s next. Stay tuned for more as the date gets closer.”

In 2013, the station marked Faurot’s 20th anniversary at the station with a retrospective and a cake, which was inscribed “20 Years, Our Big Catch.”
