Investigative reporter Stephen Stock is leaving WFOR, the CBS O&O in Miami, to helm the investigative team at KNTV, the NBC O&O in San Francisco.
“This is a huge opportunity,” Stock told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I’m getting a chance to establish something with my own identity and input.”
NBC owned-and-operated stations have a recently-renewed commitment to investigative reporting. Stock’s reports since joining WFOR in 2007 have “prompted changes in both federal law and policy,” according to his bio.

His first day at KNTV will be Monday.
