KNBC Says Goodbye to Burbank Studios

KNBC broadcast its final newscasts from its longtime home in Burbank this weekend. The NBC owned station, which has been in Burbank since 1962, is relocating to Universal City to join the rest of the NBC Universal properties in Los Angeles.

The debut of KNBC’s new studios coincides with the start of the Sochi Olympics, which will be broadcast on NBC beginning Thursday. Watch Carl Bell’s farewell tour of the Burbank studios:

KNBC is not the only NBCUnversal property saying goodbye to the Burbank lot this week: Thursday marks the final “Tonight Show” from Los Angeles. The late-night show moves to New York later this month as Jimmy Fallon takes over for Jay Leno.
