KNBC Reporter Bumped Up to The Network

Jacob Rascon has been named an NBC News correspondent.

“Jacob has demonstrated his tremendous gift for creative and compelling storytelling,” NBC News president Deborah Turness said in a statement. “I am delighted we will now have him with NBC News full time.”

Rascon was a reporter for KNBC in Los Angeles. Recently, he covered the Washington state wildfires, the Arizona flooding and the celebrity cyber hacking scandal for the network.

Rascon is the son of former CBS correspondent Art Rascon.

He started at KNBC in 2012. He has also worked at KFOX in El Paso, Tx.
