KIRO Debuts New Set

Seattle CBS affiliate KIRO debuted a new look over the weekend. On Saturday, the Cox Media Group-owned station revealed new branding, a new set, graphics and music.

The set was created by Devlin Design Group. Meteorologist have a multi-function work area with six 90 inch monitors. The main anchor desk has a 5 foot by 22 foot LED panel along with three 90 inch vertical monitors. Viewers can also see a new scenic of the Seattle skyline behind the anchor desk which transitions from day to night. Hothaus creative designed the new graphics package while Stephen Arnold came up with the music package.

“From the very start of the process it was critical that all of the new elements reflected the KIRO 7 brand in a cohesive way,” said KIRO director of creative services Susan Connor. “We were very thoughtful when working with our vendors to ensure that they understood our vision and our desire to improve the viewer experience. We’re very proud of how it all came together.”
