KGW morning anchor Russ Lewis said goodbye to viewers of the Portland, Oregon TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate this morning.
Lewis is leaving to be an anchor at TEGNA-owned KHOU in Houston. He gave gifts to his co-anchors, some of whom were wearing Goodbye Russ T-Shirts.

“To be at one place for 17 years is rare in the news business,” Lewis said this morning. “We have a luxury in Portland we have a lot of people who have been at Channel 8 a long time, doesn’t happen a lot.” He then thanked the viewers and everyone he’s worked before signing off.
