Oklahoma City NBC affiliate KFOR has announced plans to build a “new, state-of-the-art weather, news and digital information center.”
The Tribune owned station said it expects to break ground on the new facility, which is still in the planning stages, in January.
In a statement, KFOR president and GM Wes Milbourn said “This is a direct response to the new demands of our viewers and online readers. Our goal is to design the new KFOR-TV/KAUT-TV headquarters with an eye to the future.”

The station said the next step is for architects and and surveyors to check out the building’s 10-acre site.
