Last week we told you that Austin CBS affiliate KEYE was switching up its morning anchor lineup. Well, now we know that Jordan Steele and Taylor Ellison will be replacing Chris Saldaña and Allison Miller on “We Are Austin,” the station’s 9:00 a.m. lifestyle program.
“The addition of Taylor and Jordan to ‘We Are Austin’ brings another group of talented hosts to our morning block,” Amy Villarreal, KEYE vice president and general manager, told Austin 360. “The combination of their dynamic personalities along with their passion and love for Austin will make for a great show.”
Steele was most recently the station’s weekend meteorologist. In addition to his new hosting duties, Steele will also deliver the weather forecasts on “KEYE-TV Morning News,” which airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.
Ellison joined KEYE in December, and has been a regular “We Are Austin” contributor since then. She previously worked at Austin CW affiliate KNVA as an entertainment reporter.
Steele and Ellison begin their new positions on Monday.
