KETV, the Omaha, Neb. ABC affiliate that plans to move its operation into historic Burlington Station this year, has picked Devlin Design Group to design and create the news set for the new station.

“KETV’s move to Burlington Station is a bold commitment to our viewers, the community, and to downtown Omaha,” said Ariel Roblin, KETV president and GM. “The on-air centerpiece of our new television station will be designed by Devlin Design Group. Team DDG’s attention to detail, collaborative expertise and the versatility of their stunning design made our decision clear. ”

KETV announced in June 2013 it planned to buy the historic downtown train station and turn it into the station’s new home by 2015.

The station was built in 1898 and closed by Burlington in 1971, when it was leased it to Amtrak. Amtrak abandoned the building in 1974.
