Seattle Fox affiliate KCPQ has named Jon Brady director of content and news programming and promoted Erica Hill to news director.
Brady has been the station’s news director since 2010. In his new role, he will oversee daily editorial content, as well as long-form news and sports programming. Hill, who has been the assistant news director at KCPQ for six years, will be responsible for the direction of the news department, long-term initiatives and specific digital goals, according to the station.
“We are fortunate to have two talented people in Jon and Erica to lead this newsroom into the future … This reorganization will allow us to maximize our current initiatives and cultivate new ways to deliver news and information to Western Washington,” KCPQ SVP-GM Pam Pearson said in a statement.

FOX NAMES JON BRADY DIRECTOR OF CONTENT AND NEWS PROGRAMMING AND PROMOTES ERICA HILL TO NEWS DIRECTOR
(Seattle, August 7, 2013) Q13 FOX (KCPQ) has promoted Assistant News Director Erica Hill to News Director and named current News Director Jon Brady to the newly created position of Director of Content and News Programming. In this new position, Brady will be responsible for the overall supervision of the daily editorial content of the news department and oversee long-form news and sports programming. Brady will work in coordination with the News Director – a position now held by Erica Hill. Hill will be responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the news department and for executing long term initiatives including specific digital goals. Hill will also continue as News Director for Q13 FOX’s sister station in Portland, KRCW-TV.

About Jon Brady – Brady has an extensive news background serving as Bureau Chief, Western Region, for the FOX News Channel prior to coming to Q13 FOX in August of 2010. While at FNC, Brady oversaw coverage of breaking and on-going news in the network’s largest coverage area, west of the Rockies. In addition, he worked with talent and managed production and operations. Brady began his news career in Washington, D.C. in September of 1991 where he served as News Manager for the FOX News Service. Brady graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television.

About Erica Hill – Hill has been a broadcast journalist for 15 years in major markets including Chicago and Seattle and has been at Q13 FOX for more than six years, most recently serving as Assistant News Director. Hill has an extensive history working in a variety of roles in television, radio and print. She currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
