KCBS-KCAL Adds Anchor From Detroit

Jeff Vaughn is joining CBS-owned stations KCBS-KCAL as an evening anchor and reporter.

Vaughn joins the Los Angeles stations on Nov. 30 from WXYZ in Detroit, Mich. He started at WXYZ in January 2013 after working at Detroit’s WDIV for seven-and-a-half years.

“We are excited to welcome Jeff to our CBS 2-KCAL 9 family,” said the stations’ gm, Steve Mauldin. “Jeff comes to us with a wide range of experience and talents that have been cultivated during his nearly 25 years in broadcasting. He excels at covering breaking news events with tremendous poise and perspective; and he also does a great job of making a personal connection with viewers through his on-air reporting and community outreach. We look forward to Jeff being a terrific addition to our news team.”

Vaughn’s also worked at KENS in San Antonio, Texas, KSHB in Kansas City, Mo., KCBD in Lubbock, Texas, and KMID in Midland, Texas.
