A reporter and a photojournalist from KBAK-KBFX were among the many news crews dispatched to report on the winter weather across the country this week. On their way to the Sierra Nevada mountains, where they were tasked with reporting a story on how snow levels are affecting California water levels, Jonathan Gonzalez and Johnny Guillen were thwarted by a car accident right in front of them.
“Stuck in the snow, stuck without a story” as they waited for the traffic to clear, Gonzalez and Guillen instead interviewed the people around them about the snow, the road conditions and how they planned to pass the time. Watch:
