Hayden Nix will join Little Rock, Ark. NBC affiliate KARK as weekend meteorologist in February.
“It’s a joy and comfort to be able to say that I’m coming home,” said Nix. “Being closer to family means a lot to both my wife and myself.”
Nix, who comes from KTXS in Abilene, Texas, went to high school in Arkansas.

“People joke all the time about Arkansas’ constantly changing weather conditions,” said KARK news director Austin Kellerman. “No one knows that better than someone who grew up here.”
