Scott Levy, the CBS affiliate’s news director, told TVSpy the trio will focus on original reporting and stories that directly impact viewers.

Jaymes comes from KHQA in Quincy, Illinois where she worked for the past two years. She is reporting for the 4 p.m. newscast.

Taylor previously reported for WEYI in Flint, Michigan and also worked in Yuma, Arizona.

It’s a homecoming for Rudy – he graduated from Park University. He started at his on-air career at KOAM in Joplin, Missouri before going KCTV’s sister station at WALA in Mobile, Alabama.

“We are very happy to have these strong storytellers join our talented team of journalists at KCTV5… with Kelli, Rudy and Abigael here, we’ll be able to tell more stories that affect our viewers,” said Levy.

Harper starts his nightside shift on April 5th. Taylor will report dayside starting April 24th.
