Len Jennings (pictured right), anchor for Kansas City ABC affiliate KMBC is moving from news to sports. He’ll be replaced by Kris Ketz (pictured left), who had been anchoring mornings.

Bottom Line Communications reports news director Sherrie Brown told staff in a note, “Kris Ketz will move to evenings to anchor the 6pm, 9pm & 10pm.”

With all the excitement built over the past several months in sports we’ve decided to look internally for the person who can continue to build on our momentum covering the Royals. I am pleased to announce that Len Jennings is moving to sports.

Brown added, “We will now begin looking for a third anchor for weekday morning news along with our continued search for a weekend morning anchor.”

Ketz started at KMBC in 1983. Jennings has been with the station since 2012.
